Read the Vox article explaining “Cancel Culture”

Purpose: Often, you will not get to choose what you write on. What you write on will be decided by your job, your boss, your client, or a pressing need. In these times, you have to approach an assigned writing with the same vigor, fervor, and passion that you can muster up for a topic that is entirely of your making. You must make your audience believe that you are writing on something that is very much in your wheelhouse.

Instructions: Read the Vox article explaining “Cancel Culture” titled “Why We Can’t Stop Fighting About Cancel Culture” by Aja Romano. As this issue has blown up over the last few years, take a stance on either Cancel Culture generally speaking, or on a specific artifact or person that was called out for being cancelled.  Find two more articles about either Cancel Culture or your artifact, and write an argument about Cancel Culture. You may take whatever position you would like for this essay. Be aware that many times when you are assigned a topic, you are going to be asked to take the position of the person who assigned it to you!

Format: 3+ pages. Your paper must follow proper MLA format, with the proper information in the first five lines (Your name, Instructor, Class, Date (Day Month Year), and Title (Centered). The paper must have 1” margins, and be written in 12pt Times New Roman font (what you are reading right now) double spaced.
