Explain the background/history of COVID 19

The paper should be structured with an introduction (max 1 paragraph), body paragraphs and conclusion (max two paragraphs) for a total of 5 pages double spaced in length or 1000-1250 words, MLA format.

• Explain the background/history of either topic (COVID 19 will go back about over a year now whereas BLM will go back 8 years).  Remember that you may find multiple sources with different information.  Be sure to present them all.  This is part of the exercise in examining media.
• Explain the media’s representation (more than one view) of the topic and their relationship with Asian America.  Does local, national and international media present information differently?  Do various media outlets present the information differently? How so?
• Your own analysis of the relationship (or lack thereof) between Asian America and the research topic.
• Your reflection of the exercise.  Have you learned something new in terms of the topic or media biases?  Has this altered your understanding from what it was at the start of the class?
