You also recognize you need to create a document to help you keep things on track and moving forward.  Your guiding principles in the design of this document are:

• Focus on activities and behaviors that demonstrate leading with respect;
• Make the development and coaching of frontline employees a central theme;
• Realize that you are now a higher level manager and the more strategic your focus must be in this position.
