Each student will create a piece of fiction roughly 6 pages in length as 1 of the major assignments for the course. This piece will be presented for workshop, revised, and resubmitted.
Choice of subject matter is up to the individual writer. You may start from scratch or work on something you have already been writing in your journal.
Writers who prefer to work on a script can substitute Drama for Fiction if they so choose.
Your initial draft, turned in for workshop, should be complete or very nearly so in order for feedback to be as helpful as possible.
Initial submissions must be at least 4 full pages in length.
All length references refer to typed, double spaced work in 12 point font with standard margins.
