Communication is always one of the crucial factors, especially in an online graduate course. In this instance, there is no oral communication which could result in students developing a misunderstanding of material or the intent of the assignment. Professors can critique students work to ensure that the capstone assignment and other assignments are on track and accurate so that adjustments can be made. Otherwise, students would complete the work based on their interpretation, which could be incorrect. It is also important for students to have peer feedback because this is an excellent way to share ideas and challenge each other to achieve their full potential. Failure to avoid these mistakes would have a detrimental impact on the student’s grade because there are limited assignments in a course and each one has a big impact on the overall weighted grade. If the student is open to constructive criticism, he/she can make adjustments which will improve the quality of the work and improve their grade.
