Develop your skills in evaluating an author’s work and producing a critical analysis that expresses your opinion and evaluation of it. Writing a critical review requires both critical reading and critical writing.
1. Scan through the whole text to identify the overall thesis, structure and methodology, Read critically.

a. Formulate a thesis based on your overall evaluation. A strong thesis acknowledges both strengths and limitations.
b. Use each of the body paragraphs to evaluate each of the author’s points.
c. Conclude with your final judgment of the author’s argument.
3. Choose a structure that will best allow you to support your thesis within the required word constraints
